St. Sofia Golf Club & Spa - the sweet escape from the big city

Just sit and enjoy
St. Sofia Golf and Spa club house

St. Sofia golf course is the first certified 18 holes golf course in Bulgaria. Built in 2004, it laid the foundation for building the golf community in Bulgaria. Only 30 minutes from the center of capital Sofia, St. Sofia golf and SPA provides you a great opportunity to escape from your busy day and enjoy the game you like.

The first thing that will attract your attention when you arrive on the golf complex is the Clubhouse. Build in colonial style, it reveals a magnificent view over the golf course and Vitosha Mountain. In the Clubhouse you will find lobby bar and a restaurant where you can enjoy international or traditional Bulgarian cuisine and a great collection of vines.
Water is key factor on several holes

The course was reopened in 2012 after it was designed by the 2014 Europe Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley and now it offers a par 71 layout with plenty of risk-reward holes.   It opens with a par 5, where the accuracy from the tee is crucial.
The fairway is well protected by trees and bunkers and in case you miss it you risk to leave the green with a bogey or even worse. There is a very interesting stretch of holes from 4th to 7th, where the water is very much in play, both, around the fairway and around the green. Probably the most picturesque hole on St. Sofia golf course is the par 3 15th, which is played only 120 meters from the white tees and its design is very similar to this of the famous 17th hole on TPC Sawgrass  in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Many trees were planted, some holes were lengthened and water was involved much more in play.
Let's taste some local vines in the clubhouse

If you are looking for a place for your next corporate event or just want to take a break then St. Sofia can be your place. With its facilities and professional services St. Sofia Golf and SPA can satisfy every taste.
