U.S. Open Round 1 betting tipps

It's time for the 2nd Major of the year, this week the world is golf. According to the reports the golf course is in perfect condition and the weather forecast is for sun in the morning and wind in the afternoon which will make the day even more interesting.

U.S. Open day 1 18 holes match-ups

1. Ian Poulter vs Zack Johnson

Winner: Ian Poulter

Odds: 1.90

Poulter is coming after 8th place in the 75th Italian Open. He is on the bubble for the European Ryder Cup team and no doubt, he will do anything to make the team and play in France in September. Meanwhile Johnson's last top 10 was in the Valero Texas Open in April

2. Jason Day vs Rickie Fowler.

Winner: Rickie Fowler

Odds: 1.95

Two magnificent ball strikers and two of the favorites. Fowler got engaged earlier this week, I believe golf is not his priority now which is great advantage and won't be surprised if he makes his major breakthrough this week. 

3. To miss the cut

Phil Mickelson

Odds: 3.75

Yes, we all know the love story of Phil and U. S Open, we all want to see him winning on Sunday, but I believe it won't be that easy. Phil is 201nd in Driving Accuracy Percentage, he hit only 51.55% of the fairways and if he doesn't improve this number this week he will be in big trouble.
