Captain Bjørn should be the happiest man in golf this Monday. This year Open de France held at the Ryder Cup course was great success, the course was in superb condition, it provided great test for the players, the crowd was awesome and two of the European golf stars - Alex Noren and Francesco Molinari recorded two very impressive wins.

Poulter is coming after 8th place in the 75th Italian Open. He is on the bubble for the European Ryder Cup team and no doubt, he will do anything to make the team and play in France in September. Meanwhile Johnson's last top 10 was in the Valero Texas Open in April

Italian Open Day 1 Betting tips

This week the European Tour moves to Italy for the 75th edition of  the Italian Open and here are my betting tips.

1. Round 1 18 holes Match-Ups

Ross Fisher vs Lucas Bjerregaard
Winner: Ross Fisher
Odds: 1.80

Both players are in very good form and both are coming after a top 10 finish in the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. The only reason I bet on Fisher is that I watched him on the Pro-Am today and he played very solid. Holed some monster putts and made a few very impressive approach shots. He loves to play in Italy and the course seems to suit his game.


2. Round 1 18 holes Match-Ups

Tyrrell Hatton vs Andy Sullivan
Winner: Tyrell Hatton
Odds: 1.90

If you look at the numbers Sullivan is the favorite. Hatton missed the cut in his last 2 tournaments and his last top 10 was in Mexico during the WGC. Gardagolf is a course which demands driving accuracy and this might be a problem for Andy Sullivan who had some troubles from the tee during today's Pro-Am. Moreover Hatton is the defending champion and I am pretty sure he will do anything to defend his title.

3. Round 1 18 holes Match-Ups
Matteo Manassero vs Benjamin Hebert
Winner: Matteo Manassero
Odds: 1.90

This is probably the easiest pick for tomorrow. Gardagolf is Manassero's home course. He knows every single angle and lie on this course which gives him huge advantage and makes him the favorite.

Trophee Hassan II betting tips

This week the European Tour travels to Morocco for this year Trophee Hassan II tournament. Here are my betting tips for the tournament:

1) Top 10 finish
Paul Dunne, odds: 2.20

Dunne lost in playoff last year to Eduardo Molinari. He performed well at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam on his event debut in 2016, too, finishing in a share of 16th place. The world number 68 is 2-T8-T5 in his last 3 starts so he definitely is among the favorites this week. I even consider to make him captain of my fantasy team :)

It's Masters Week!

The last man who secured his place at this week Masters is Ian Poulter. The Englishmen won the Houston Open and took the last train to Augusta, where he will make his 13th Masters appearance. Poulter holed that putt to force a play-off with Beau Hossler.

World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play - Round of 16 Betting tips

The group stage from the 2018 Dell Technologies Match Play Championship is in the history and now it's time for the real fun - the knockout rounds. Some of the favorites had troubles and failed to escape from their group. The world number one Dustin Johnson finished last in his group after he lost all 3 matches in group 1. Arnold Palmer Invitational betting tips

Tomorrow starts one of the most popular events on the PGA tour - the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Bay Hill is favorite destination for many of the top players in the world who use this big stage to see where their game is just before the Masters - the first major of the year.
